About Selank
Selank is a synthetic analogue of tuftsin, developed at the Russian Academy of Sciences as an anxiolytic that would not sedate, impair or produce dependence — the three things that limit conventional anxiolytics. It has been in clinical use in Russia for years, which gives it an unusual amount of human data for a compound largely unknown elsewhere.
The research describes an effect on anxiety alongside preserved or improved cognitive performance, which is the combination that makes it interesting.
