About Glutathione
Glutathione is a tripeptide your liver makes continuously and depletes under oxidative stress, alcohol, illness and age. It is central to phase II liver detoxification and to recycling other antioxidants, which is why it is described as the master antioxidant rather than one of several.
The reason it is sold as an injectable at all is absorption. Oral glutathione is largely broken down in the gut before it reaches circulation, which has made oral supplementation a contested subject for decades. An injectable vial avoids that route entirely, which is why it is the form used in skin-brightening and liver-support protocols, and why it is priced by the hundreds of milligrams rather than the tens.
