About Epithalon
Epithalon is a synthetic form of Epithalamin, a peptide extracted from the pineal gland and studied in Russia since the 1980s. Its research profile is unusual for how long it runs: several of the studies behind it followed subjects for years rather than weeks, which is rare in this field and part of why it is treated as a reference compound in longevity research.
The interest centres on telomerase — the enzyme that maintains the protective caps on chromosomes that shorten each time a cell divides. Alongside that, Epithalon is consistently reported on for sleep and circadian rhythm, which follows from its pineal origin and is what many people actually notice first. It is usually run in short courses rather than continuously.
