About Epithalon
Epithalon is a synthetic form of Epithalamin, a peptide extracted from the pineal gland and studied in Russia since the 1980s. Its research profile is unusual for how long it runs: several of the studies behind it followed subjects for years rather than weeks, which is rare in this field and part of why it is treated as a reference compound in longevity research.
The interest centres on telomerase — the enzyme that maintains the protective caps on chromosomes that shorten each time a cell divides. Alongside that, Epithalon is consistently reported on for sleep and circadian rhythm, which follows from its pineal origin and is what many people actually notice first. It is usually run in short courses rather than continuously.

Telomerase activity

Sleep and circadian rhythm
A pineal peptide with a documented interest in melatonin regulation, which is why sleep is the effect people most often report noticing.
Lifespan in animal studies
In mice, Epithalon was linked to longer lifespan and fewer spontaneous tumours. There are no large controlled trials of it in people.

- That it extends human lifespan. There are no large controlled trials in people.
- Broad independent replication. Most of the research comes from one group, although a 2025 study in human cell lines confirmed the telomere finding.
Reconstitution and storage
The 10mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/mL. Unopened vials are stable at room temperature in transit but belong in a fridge once they arrive, and out of a parked car in a Highveld summer.
