Why Adamax as a nasal spray

Adamax is a structurally modified analogue of Semax. Semax itself was developed as a nasal preparation, and the spray keeps its successor on the same route, so it can be compared directly with the older compound.

In this range it is positioned for research into drive and vitality. It carries the highest peptide load of the brain sprays, 10mg per bottle, which doubles what is in each spray compared with Semax.

About Adamax

Adamax is a structurally modified analogue of Semax, a newer compound in the ACTH-derived peptide lineage. It is formulated in this range for research into drive and vitality.

Its research base is considerably thinner than that of Semax, which has decades of Russian clinical use behind it. Anyone choosing between the two should weigh that difference.

What the research covers

Published findings, not promised outcomes. Studies are listed under Sources below.

Lineage

Adamax belongs to the ACTH(4-10) family that Semax established. That family's research, not Adamax's own, is where most of the mechanism discussion comes from.

Drive and vitality

The positioning for this spray. It is a research framing, not a proven outcome.

Concentration

10mg in 10ml gives 1mg per mL, twice the concentration of the Semax spray. Worth knowing if you are comparing the two.

Where the evidence is thin

This is the thinnest evidence base in the range, and we would rather say so. Adamax does not have the decades of clinical use behind Semax or a body of published trials of its own. If you want the compound with the longer record, choose Semax. Choose Adamax knowing it is the newer, less-studied option.

Spray, vial or pen

Adamax comes in all three formats. The compound is the same; what changes is the preparation and how it goes in.

Using a nasal spray properly

  1. 1

    Prime the pump

Before the first use, pump into the air until a fine, even mist comes out. Those first few sprays are not counted in the bottle total.

  2. 2

    Clear your nose

Blow your nose gently first. A congested nose absorbs poorly and more of the spray runs straight out.

  3. 3

    Aim away from the middle

Tilt your head slightly forward and point the nozzle toward the outer wall of the nostril, not the septum.

  4. 4

    Breathe in gently

Press once while breathing in softly through the nose. A hard sniff pulls the spray down the throat instead of leaving it in the nose.

  5. 5

    Alternate nostrils

Between sprays, alternate nostrils. That spreads the dose over more of the nasal lining.

Storage

Keep the bottle upright with the cap on, and in the fridge once opened. The amber glass protects the solution from light, but not from heat: don’t leave it in a parked car or a sunny window, especially in a South African summer. Don’t freeze it, and don’t share a nozzle between people.
