About Kisspeptin
Kisspeptin sits at the very top of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. It signals the hypothalamus to release GnRH, which prompts the pituitary to release LH and FSH, which in turn drive testosterone production in the testes. That position is the entire argument for it: it works with the axis rather than around it.
This is what separates it from exogenous testosterone, which raises the end product and, in doing so, suppresses the signals above it. Kisspeptin is researched in the opposite direction — stimulating the body's own production chain from the top. It is the same logic that makes HCG and Gonadorelin interesting, at an earlier point in the cascade.
