About GHRP-6
GHRP-6 is a hexapeptide that mimics ghrelin at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor, prompting the pituitary to release a pulse of growth hormone. It was among the first of its class to be studied and remains a reference point for the ones that followed. Its distinguishing feature is a strong effect on appetite — pronounced enough that it is the reason some people choose it and the reason others choose Ipamorelin instead.
In practice that makes GHRP-6 a lean-mass tool rather than a fat-loss one. It is most often researched in bulking and recovery contexts, where eating enough is the constraint, and it is frequently paired with a GHRH analogue such as CJC-1295, on the reasoning that a secretagogue and a releasing hormone acting together produce a larger pulse than either alone.
