About AOD-9604
AOD-9604 is a modified fragment of the human growth hormone molecule — specifically the C-terminal region responsible for its effect on fat metabolism. The point of isolating it is what gets left behind: the parts of HGH that affect blood glucose, IGF-1 and tissue growth are not in the fragment, so the research interest is in lipolysis without the rest of the growth hormone picture.
That makes it a conservative option in a category that is not otherwise known for conservatism.
